It is important to distinguish three different meanings from the concept of performance:

  • High sports performance: Long- and medium-term training and preparation phase to fully develop the player's capabilities.
  • Performance: Stage that belongs to the High Sports Performance Phase in which it is intended to achieve maximum efficiency of the individual abilities of a player.
  • Maximum performance: A process in which it is intended to obtain in the short term the maximum efficiency of a team, with the sole purpose of overcoming the opposite in the competition.
